Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know about double glazing your Perth home. Can't find your answer? Call us on1800 422 334.

Will my home actually be cooler in summer?
Yes. uPVC frames combined with Low-E glass sharply reduce heat transfer, so your home stays cooler and your air conditioning works less — a genuine advantage in Perth's climate.
How much noise reduction can I expect?
Standard double glazing reduces noise by roughly 30 dB. For busy roads or flight paths, acoustic laminated glass lifts that to around 40 dB.
How long does manufacturing and installation take?
Manufacturing typically takes 4–6 weeks, and installation is usually a 1–3 day job. We confirm exact timing after measuring on site.
uPVC or aluminium — what's the difference?
Aluminium must be thermally broken to insulate well, which adds cost. uPVC delivers excellent thermal performance, strong corrosion resistance and better value — our recommendation for most Perth homes.
Will the uPVC yellow or fade over time?
No. Our profiles are UV-stabilised for Australian conditions and resist fading and yellowing.
What warranty is included?
A 10-year warranty on the uPVC structures and a 2-year warranty on installation, with full documentation from the installation date.
How disruptive is the installation?
Minimal. Most projects take 1–3 days depending on scope, and we keep the work clean and well organised throughout.
How secure are the windows and doors?
Multi-point locking and robust German hardware come as standard, with optional security glass — considerably more secure than older window systems.
What glazing options can I choose from?
Clear Low-E (standard), grey or tinted, and acoustic laminated. We recommend the right option for your location and needs.
What makes GaBe different from other companies?
Every window and door is custom-made, fitted with premium German hardware, and sealed with PU foam insulation during installation — backed by local service support and our own install team.
Can I buy windows without installation?
Yes, though we strongly recommend professional installation. Incorrect fitting reduces performance and can void installation-related warranty cover.
Is it worth it in the long term?
Yes — lower energy bills, greater year-round comfort, less noise, and added property value.
