Built for Australian Conditions
Why GaBe Uses Deceuninck High-UV uPVC Profiles
Not all uPVC profiles are the same. A profile that performs well in a mild European climate is not automatically
designed for years of exposure to Australia’s intense sunlight and UV. That is why GaBe uses Deceuninck
high-performance profile systems incorporating the TPX formulation developed for demanding climatic conditions.
Deceuninck TPX is listed under Australia’s uPVC Window Industry Code of Practice (ICP),
an accreditation specifically created to assess whether uPVC profiles can withstand high-UV Australian conditions.
The weathering assessment includes prolonged outdoor exposure in Queensland and evaluates colour stability,
surface condition and resistance to cracking, peeling, flaking and other visible deterioration.
Importantly, the assessment is not only about appearance. The profile is also checked for
impact strength before and after weather exposure. That matters because UV damage
can do more than fade a surface — over time, insufficiently protected PVC can become more brittle. The quality of
the raw uPVC compound and its UV stabilisation therefore matters just as much as the shape of the profile.
Australian UV Tested
Designed to demonstrate long-term weathering performance under Australia’s demanding high-UV conditions.
Strength After Weathering
Performance is assessed after weather exposure, not simply when the profile is new.
Controlled Material Formulation
Ongoing accreditation requires consistency in the profile formulation and UV-stabilising system.
In practical terms, two windows can look almost identical on installation day. The real difference becomes visible
years later. A quality uPVC system should continue to maintain its appearance, strength and structural integrity
after prolonged exposure to Australian sun. GaBe chooses Deceuninck because it combines proven European window
engineering with a profile formulation developed and verified for demanding climatic conditions.
What this means for you:
we do not choose a profile simply because it looks good when it is new. We choose a system designed to keep
performing years later — because the quality of a window is measured over its lifetime, not on installation day.
